Our most common question is 'What is a fat quarter?' The diagram below shows how all the various cuts of fabric are measured, but in short:
- A fat quarter is where half a metre is cut off the fabric bolt, then cut in half again parallel to the selvedge - finished size is approximately 20" x 21-22" (50cm x 55cm) including the selvedge
- A long quarter is simply quarter of a metre cut straight off the bolt - finished size is approximately 10" x 42-44" (25cm x 110cm) including the selvedge.

We sell fabric in quarter metre units, orders of more than one unit are sent uncut as a single piece. Please see the chart below to see how many units to order for common length requirements:

I ordered a sample of this fabric to see if it would match another I had run out of but couldn’t replace. Sample was posted the same day and arrived a couple of days later. As the sample was too white I rang Pelenna who were most friendly and helpful. We discussed alternative cream on cream options so I ordered three more samples - again I received an email the same day to say they had been despatched so I am looking forward to seeing if any of these suit 🤞

I don't buy fabric on line very often because I like to see and feel it first. I 'chanced' buying a few years ago and tried several websites. I found your site to be the most user friendly out of several I tried. Also efficient with delivery and good packaging. I'm lucky to have 2 shops near me to buy and a huge one not too far away. I will never use another online shop other than yours if I need to. Great.

This fabric has the tiniest of white dots on white background, giving just enough to add interest to a filler in your quilting. Fabric quality is excellent, and delivery extremely quick and well packaged.
