350g pack (equivalent to the weight of approximately 2m fabric) of 100% cotton fabric scraps in various purple, red and pink shades. Including plains and prints, in sizes varying from full width of fabric end of bolt pieces down to small 5 inch off-cuts, this is a lucky dip of patchwork fabrics! The second picture above shows an example of a pack's contents, however the fabrics included will differ in every pack.
All the fabrics included come from past or current collections and are high quality cotton quilting fabrics - perfect for scrap or crumb quilts, or a great, budget friendly way to buy fabric for charity quilts!
Our most common question is 'What is a fat quarter?' The diagram below shows how all the various cuts of fabric are measured, but in short:
- A fat quarter is where half a metre is cut off the fabric bolt, then cut in half again parallel to the selvedge - finished size is approximately 20" x 21-22" (50cm x 55cm) including the selvedge
- A long quarter is simply quarter of a metre cut straight off the bolt - finished size is approximately 10" x 42-44" (25cm x 110cm) including the selvedge.
