Do you love English paper piecing, but hate having to cut the shapes? These packets of paper templates take the tedium out of English paper piecing, with 50 accurately cut hexagon paper templates made from Reynolds freezer paper. Freezer paper is ideal for this purpose, as you can simply iron on to the fabric, no need for pins, and you will get a perfectly accurate hexagon every time! The templates are available in 3 sizes, the measurement is taken across one side of the hexagon (see the image for clarification) please choose a size from the drop down box.
To use, iron the freezer paper template shiny side down onto the fabric, cut around it leaving a 1/4 inch seam allowance all the way around, then fold the seam allowance over the template and secure by basting all the way around. Then you can whip stitch the hexagons together for a beautiful paper pieced quilt!

I bought 1 inch and 2 inch templates to try my hand at EPP. I embroider ,never quilted. I am undertaking 2 projects in an on - line class and decided that making my own templates was not for me. I found these so easy to use. I was worried that they were so thin (never having done this I thought templates were cardboard) but I found that I did not stitch through them and their slim quality aided in sewing the hexagons together. I would also add that everyone of them came out whole and could be re used again so very impressed. I have been told that I could have ironed them on to help during the cutting and basting stage so I will be trying that the next time.

Thought they might be too flimsy, but the fabric folds easily over the edges, they are easier to sew through than my old cardboard templates, after sewing in they peel off easily and I was delighted to find I could use the more than once.
