Paraffin wax for coating threads (same function as beeswax), yarns etc. to eliminate twisting and knotting when hand quilting. Simply run the thread through the groove of the cardboard container to coat with wax, and have smooth running thread whatever the application. Not suitable for use in a sewing machine.
